Mark is a business litigation and transaction attorney with more than 35 years’ experience with large international law firms and managing his own law firm providing legal representation for businesses in court and commercial transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, government compliance, real estate, construction, international trade and developing business strategies.
Mark is a fourth generation Colorado native from a small town where he worked in his family’s paint and decorating store, rejuvenated and maintained family rental properties and farmed and ranched for his family and other families in the area. Mark started a construction site clean-up business and bought his first rental property while in High School.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in geology from Ft. Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Mark spent four years as a geo-chemist/exploration geologist evaluating properties for gold, silver, lead, zinc and barite in North and Central America. He was awarded a Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California.
Mark has continually been active volunteering his time serving civic and nonprofit organizations and local charities, including the YMCA, AYSO Soccer, Little League Baseball and Rotary International and has held leadership roles, including as the Irvine Rotary Club President during 2011-2012, the Rotary District 5320 Executive Secretary during 2014-2016 and 2021-2022 and heading up major charitable events for the Rotary District. Giving back to the community is extremely important to Mark.
Mark believes that an inclusive workplace is the right approach that has financial and productivity for all involved and should be a key factor for companies looking to succeed in this increasingly globalized and competitive world. BRDG STEM students are the first of their families to attend college and the challenges they face can be daunting. Mark fully supports BRDG providing its student participants with mentorships and training to help them foster long term win/win relationships–through BRDG, the student receives guidance helping them find a good job and the employer has a motivated employee ready to contribute the very first day.
