Treasurer
Marco (Tony) A. Murcia, Jr.

Tony Murcia is a dedicated community leader with over 13 years of service in Rotary as a past member of the Rotary Club of Irvine and a current member of Rotary Club of OCLA.  He held various board positions such as Vocational Chair, Secretary, New Generations Chair and currently is the Rotary Foundation Chair for his club. Tony is strong believer in BRDG's mission to create a bridge to success by enhancing first-in-family college students' opportunities in STEM fields. Tony is the son of Salvadoran immigrant parents and was the first to attend college in his family and benefited from mentors and teachers who encouraged him to attain a college degree.

Tony's career has spanned roles in financial securities operations management, cash management, and accounts receivable accounting in the defense industry. Throughout his career he has led successful systems conversions and enhanced operational efficiency.

Tony's involvement with BRDG began with attending the annual BRDG project competition and award ceremony.  He was deeply impressed with the BRDG program and the positive impact it made to the participating students. Tony's own experience growing up in an underserved community in downtown LA has reinforced why it is so important to support BRDG's mission.

Tony looks forward to working with fellow board members and the community to support and help BRDG continue to succeed in its mission.
